About Courtney
I am a wife and mother to three sweet souls, living in rural Douglas County amongst our chickens and alpacas. My husband and I are foster/adoptive parents to two of our children. Before we made the decision that I stay at home with our kids, I worked in supply chain and sales operations with a background in logistics.
I have my undergraduate degree in Political Science from Truman State University and my M.S. in Global Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management in Phoenix, AZ. My husband and I are members of Redemption Bible Church in Baldwin City, and I've served on the Baldwin City Recreation Commission board.
I am running because I've seen the seismic changes in our culture. The foundational assumptions I was raised with have been swept away; the college-to-career pipeline is eroded and barriers to homeownership are high. I am working to make Kansas a destination for the next generation — where taxes aren't an impediment to businesses, families, and seniors; where our children can thrive in safety and stability; and where our culture values life.
Guiding Principles
As a member of the Kansas Truth Caucus, my guiding principles are:
- Limited Government — As legislators, our role should always be to limit the size and scope of government.
- Individual Liberty — One of the founding principles of our nation is the freedom to chart one's own course.
- Free Enterprise — Businesses and individuals thrive when the free market is allowed to operate unencumbered.
- Traditional Values — The family is the foundational unit of our culture.
